About Kennel Izgara ...

It all started in 1985 when my family bought our first groenendael from Ragnhild and Vidar Bentzen,
Kennel D'helice Noir. Benita came to us when I was nine, and she became the beginning of my passion;
Belgian Sheperds. Benita led to a large amount of activities like dog shows, junior handling and agility. Gradually I
became an active member in Tønsberg Hundeklubb (local dog club), and in 1991 a trained NKK instructor
grade 1.Since then I have functioned as a trainer at courses for puppies, agility and obedience through my dog club.
I also train my own dogs.

I met Bjørnar in 1993, and we married in 2002. Bjørnar grew up on a farm where dog keeping has always been a
natural part of the life on the farm. It was, however, I who introduced him to Belgian Sheperd dogs, and in 1998 we
bought our first tervueren. We now own five dogs, and three of them are living with us.

We have a wish to work with breeding of healty and happy belgian sheperds that can function well as family, work and show dogs.
